Laura Rose Evans, of Clarkston, will celebrate her 90th birthday today with family and friends at the Clarkston home of her son, Russ Evans.

She was born June 10, 1934, in Clarkston to Herb and Rose Anderson.

While attending Clarkston High School, she played the French horn in the marching band, and graduated in 1952.

She and Don Evans were married April 25, 1953, in Clarkston.

She worked for a time for First Security Bank in Lewiston and later worked as a cook for the Clarkston School District and also was a homemaker. She enjoys tending her vegetable garden and is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Her husband died in 2020.

She has five sons, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
