An Emergency Preparedness Fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Lewiston Orchards.

The fair will include classes on water purification, solar heat cooking, Dutch oven cooking, ham radio, freeze drying, food dehydrating, emergency finances and more.

All are welcome at the fair. The church is at 3810 16th St., Lewiston.

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity will provide a free community supper from 4-5 p.m. today at the church. In-person dining, with a take-out option, is available throughout the 4-5 p.m. hour. Entry is through both the east entry door off the parking lot on Eighth Avenue and the Eighth Street west entry door. The church’s food pantry is open 8:30 a.m. to noon every Tuesday, with entry only through the east door on Eighth Avenue. The church is at 731 Eighth St., Lewiston. A free food distribution is planned for Sept. 24 at the parking lot of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 1115 13th St., Clarkston.

The food distribution is in conjunction with the church and Second Harvest of Spokane. Food will be given out from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sept. 24. There will be enough food for about 250 families. It is open to all residents of the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley and surrounding area.

This will be a drive-through-only distribution

The Lewiston Seventh-day Adventist Church will host a program called Untangling Our Relationships on Oct. 11-12.

The primary speaker will be Bryan Cafferky and the focus will be on “Finding Healing with Abraham’s Family.”

The event will start with a 6:30 p.m. session on Oct. 11, followed the next day by breakfast, 8:45-9:30 a.m.; Saturday morning study, 9:30 a.m.; Saturday morning message, 11 a.m.; and Saturday afternoon, 2 p.m.
