No longer a Democrat

Why does the Democrat party hate America? My father was a Democrat and I was also.

But when President Barack Obama stated he wanted to “fundamentally change” the United States and Obama’s pastor of more than 20 years stated, “G-- damn America,” we became Republicans.

Balint Vazsonyi’s book “America’s 30 Years War: Who Is Winning?” answers that question when the Biden-Harris administration is analyzed: America is losing.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have both worked on fundamentally changing the United States for the worse. They are aided by the media, which does not tell the truth. For years the alphabet channels (ABC, CBS,NBC, CNN) lied about collusion between Russia and President Donald Trump.

The truth is found on channels like Fox or Newsmax. The alphabet channel reporter commentaries are all the same and all use the same key word in their presentation.

Today, Obama is behind the curtain telling Joe and Kamala what to do. Kamala is a Marxist. The news clips of her stating her real positions are out there but you are not going to see them now except on Fox or Newsmax. Kamala wants the elimination of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, free health care for all illegals, reducing the police, open borders and many others.

It did not make sense to this retired Army officer and Vietnam veteran until the initial question was answered: The Democrat party is Marxist.

Why I’m voting Trump

Edward Johnson asked why anyone would vote for Trump (Tribune letter, Aug. 20). These are my reasons.

The mainstream media is simply an arm of the Democratic party, so don’t believe all that you read or hear. Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party in 2016 invented a lie about Donald Trump, the Russia collusion, which President Barack Obama (at that time) knew was a lie. He allowed the FBI to start an investigation anyway.

In 2020, the media claimed the Hunter Biden laptop was Russia disinformation and helped the Democratic Party help a senile and, I believe, treasonous candidate across the finish line. And by the way, the laptop lie did affect the election.

As far as Trump being convicted of 34 felonies: Anyone with common sense knows these will be overturned. The prosecution violated the Constitution of the United States. They used a politically motivated judge and coordinated their prosecution with the White House.

As far as Michael Cohen goes, he is a proven liar, to Congress and in court. Donald Trump is far from perfect, but I do believe he loves this country and will put people in his cabinet who will work for the American people.

I voted against Hillary Clinton in 2016. I voted for Donald Trump in 2020 because he earned it. This year I am voting against Kamala Harris’ socialist agenda and for Donald Trump, because I do want America and its citizens to be put first by their president.
