Danielle Elaine Granger Chilberg passed away quietly Nov. 18, 2011, after a long illness, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, from complications from small-cell lung cancer and more recent brain cancer, with her loving husband at her bedside.

She was born to John Merle Granger and Grace Lund Granger Oct. 1, 1944, at the Grace Hospital in Detroit. She was raised in the Los Angeles area, Bellflower, Calif., and settled in Kendrick after her marriage to Duane Chilberg, a longtime wheat and cattle rancher on Cedar Ridge.

She was employed for many years at San Juan County Bank as a loan officer in Friday Harbor, Wash.; employed many years with Boeing working in planning at the Seattle facility; and more recently in medical insurance billing in Orofino, for two different offices before her illness.

She is survived by her husband, Duane, at the family home; her sister, Marilyn Granger Willick, of Redding, Calif.; her children, Ray Burdick of Moscow, Theresa Burdick Parker and husband Bill Parker of Juliaetta, and Marie Burdick Avalon of Albuquerque, N.M.; stepdaughter Yvonne Newberry of Moscow; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

You are finally at peace with our Lord in heaven our beloved Dani FOREVER and ALWAYS. You will definitely be missed by all who knew you well.

The family wishes to thank Dani's dear friend Janice Van Hook for her loving care and support at the hospital, the caring staff at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Carondelet House and Dr. Drakes.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Kendrick Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Marvin Preussler officiating.
