Longtime Lewiston resident Tim Switzer was named to the town’s Urban Renewal Agency board at the group’s meeting earlier this week.

Switzer, 63, grew up in Lewiston before attending college in both Idaho and Washington. He started his career in engineering in western Washington, and returned to Lewiston in 1989. He worked for Potlatch Corp. and CCI/Speer in engineering roles before retiring in 2020.

“I’m interested in giving back to this community that I love and the URA board seems like a good fit for my skills and interests,” Switzer said in an email to the Tribune, “but I have to admit that I’ve got much to learn about how the URA operates.”

Switzer has been married to Patty Switzer for nearly 30 years. They have two adult children.
