PULLMAN Washington State University's Chicano Studies Program will host the Annual Northwest Chicano Studies Symposium, ''Continuing La Lucha: In Memoriam of Cesar Chavez,'' Nov. 12-13 at the Compton Union Building on the WSU campus. The two-day conference will feature a keynote address by Yolanda Broyles-Gonzalez, chairwoman of the Chicano Studies Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Also scheduled to speak are Erasmo Gamboa, University of Washington, and Luis Torres, National Association for Chicano Studies.

Among the workshops to be offered are ''Northwest Chicano History,'' ''Poetry and Outcry: The Chicano Cultural Struggle,'' ''Literature of Resistance and La Lucha,'' and '''Bilingual Education in Washington State.''

In addition to speakers and workshops, the conference will feature National Association for Chicano Studies and United Farm Workers general sessions, a WSU Chicano/Latino Alumni Reunion, and ''Noche Cultural,'' an evening of entertainment set for 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12.

Conference registration is $15, $10 for students. Cost for the Nov. 13 banquet is an additional $15, $10 for students. Conference organizers are WSU faculty members Ricardo Sanchez and Daniel Estrada. For information, contact the WSU Department of Comparative American Cultures, 335-2605.
