P.E.O., Chapter BL
Sharon Fitzgerald was initiated into the chapter during the club's May 1 meeting at Lewiston's First United Methodist Church.
Marilyn Hinman and Helen Gleason were appointed for post-initiation counseling with Fitzgerald, who received a gift of the Constitution, Yearbook and her name tag.
Peggy Gage thanked Mary McNish and Lois Chesnut for co-hosting.
Five officers attended the April 7 state workshop, and Ann Young and Stephanie Herbert discussed keeping or discarding records.
Hinman mentioned the May 3 Idaho Gives Day and read "A Recipe for Friendship" card in honor of Mother's Day.
Chesnut reminded members about the rummage sale, and Herbert reported on research she had done on past rummage sales. Proceeds help fund P.E.O. scholarships for women.
Chesnut presented Herbert with a pottery bowl from the late Jo Duff, Herbert's grandmother and a past BL member, for Herbert's work in the chapter.
The next meeting is 1 p.m. Tuesday at Marilee Dokken's home.
