NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms from central Minnesota and Wisconsin to Iowa,
northeastern Kansas and northwestern Missouri can bring
flooding downpours, hail, damaging wind gusts and an
isolated tornado today. Farther west, hail and damaging
winds will be the primary hazards from western Minnesota to
eastern Nebraska. Flash flooding and damaging winds can
occur on a more localized basis in Virginia and northern and
central North Carolina and in southern and eastern New
Mexico. Mainly spotty thunderstorms will rumble along the
Gulf coast, but storms may be a bit more numerous along the
Louisiana coast and in southwestern Florida. Behind the
storms in the Upper Midwest, a few showers will dampen
eastern Montana and the Dakotas. Record-high temperatures
