Lewis-Clark Duplicate Bridge Club

Members met during June for two games at the Valley Community Center in Clarkston.

Winners were:

June 5 — Kathy Connerley and Spud Storey; June 19 (club championship) — Marilyn Black and Renee Petersen.

Lewis-Clark Toastmasters

Pete Gertonson was toastmaster of the group’s June 20 meeting.

Savannah Carringer was chosen best speaker for her speech titled, “Wedding Update.”

Vic Racicot was table topic master and Patti Mann was named best table topic speaker.

Bruce Neu was general evaluator and Nick Woods was chosen best evaluator.

Mann was grammarian and word of the day was “astute.”

Members met again June 27 with Mann as toastmaster.

David Carringer was best speaker with a speech titled, “Picture From the Past.”

Racicot was table topic master and Gertonson was chosen best table topic speaker. Lalonni Burke was chosen best evaluator.

Gertonson was general evaluator and grammarian, and the word of the day was “crux.”

The next meeting is 6-7:15 a.m. Thursday at 709 Sixth St. in Lewiston.
