Pilot receives minor injuries in crash between Moscow, Pullman

A 63-year old Pullman man piloting a single-engine plane suffered minor injuries after the plane crashed at about noon today in a field between Pullman and Moscow.

Keith Kopf was practicing touch-and-go landings on frozen terrain in a field near the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport, when one of the skids on his 1964 Super Cub Aircraft dug into the dirt, causing the airplane to flip, according to a media release from the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office.

The plane landed on its top.

Kopf did not require medical attention, the release stated. He was the only occupant in the plane.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are further investigating the cause of the crash.
