e Latah County Sheriff's Department has revealed new leads in the 1979

disappearance of a Latah County woman.

Investigators have been working in the area near where she was last seen, at the intersection of Highway 8, east of Moscow, and Lenville Road.

Gayla Shaper, a Latah County resident, disappeared without a trace the summer of 1979. Subsequent investigations failed to reveal her whereabouts.

Present property owners have given permission to conduct searches of their land, however they asked that the public respect their right of privacy. No further information was available.
