A Lewiston man who was riding a motorcycle died in a crash near the Clearwater River Casino on Saturday afternoon.
Idaho State Police said in a news release that deputies were made aware of a two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 95 around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
An 85-year-old man from Mountain Home driving a 2023 Buick Envision that attempted to exit the casino parking lot and turn southbound on U.S. Highway 95 while a 73-year-old man was driving a 2024 Kawasaki motorcycle on the highway. The news release said the motorcycle collided with the side of the Buick.
The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Occupants of the Buick were uninjured, and the news release said they were both wearing seat belts.
Idaho State Police is investigating the incident. The names of those involved in the crash weren’t provided.
