Alaska Airlines is withdrawing from the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport, leaving the transportation hub without direct flights to Seattle or Boise.
The commercial passenger airline’s final day in Lewiston will be Aug. 25, according to an email sent to Valley Vision, a not-for-profit economic development group.
Alaska plans to add flights to its Pullman schedule the following day to fill the gap. But direct Boise service from north central Idaho or southeastern Washington will no longer exist. Passengers will have to leave from Spokane or fly from Pullman to Seattle and then connect with Boise flights, according to the email.
