MIDDLETON, Idaho — Grangeville’s Ila Wilkinson topped the podium in the discus with a throw of 107 feet, 6 inches at the Middleton Invite.
Wilkinson finished second in the shot put with a heave of 33-2.75.
On the boys side, Simeon Sanchez finished first in the 1,600 meters with a time of 4 minutes, 40.09 seconds.
The Bulldogs’ 1,600 relay team of Tyler Zechmann, Reuben Sanchez, Koby Beach and Ayden Arnett placed second with a time of 3:37.73.
Moscow’s Nuhn, Lewiston’s Carpenter and Everett all earn two golds at Rasmussen Invite
COEUR D’ALENE — Moscow’s Mattea Nuhn notched two first-place finishes at the Rasmussen Invite at Coeur d’Alene High School.
Nuhn topped the podium in the 100 hurdles (15.61 seconds) and 300 hurdles (47.60).
Jessika Lassen placed first in the 400 with a time of 1:00.94. The pair were also on Moscow’s 1,600 relay team, which took first place with a time of 4:10.62.
The Moscow girls (130 points) were second in team scoring behind Coeur d’Alene with 18-of-19 events scored.
Lewiston (116) led the boys field with 17-of-19 events scored.
Noah Carpenter placed first in the 100 (11.42 seconds) and 200 (23.44) for the Bengals.

Pirates Reggie Ott finishes fifth at league meet
RICHLAND, Wash. — Pomeroy’s Reggie Ott finished fifth among the boys with a personal-best score of 87 at a Southeast 1B League meet at Columbia Point Golf Course on Thursday.
The Pirates’ Grayson Slaybaugh finished seventh among the boys at the par-72 course with a 99.
Pomeroy’s Tyler Dixon, finished with 111. Kiersten Bartels finished fourth on the girls side with 102.

The Bengals downed Sandpoint in a nonleague match at Lewiston High School.
Presley Klein played a “steady match” according to coach Sandi Stocks and held on for the win at No. 3 girls singles.
Lorenzo Aparti’s come-from-behind singles win pushed the Bengals over the top for the victory, according to Stocks.

Shorthanded Pullman narrowly fell to Sandpoint in an Idaho-rules coed team dual to kick off its run in the quad-match event at Lewiston High School.
In No. 1-level matches, the Greyhounds benefited from hard-fought wins by the girls pairing of Lynnsey Biorn and Daun Park as well as the mixed duo of Caleb Snider and Azriah Seeber.
