Trent Line struck out nine batters and surrendered just one hit in a complete game for Clarkston, which rolled to a 12-1 win in the opening game of a Great Northern League baseball doubleheader with Cheney at Prior Field on Saturday.

The Blackhawks came back from a five-run hole to win 11-8 in the second contest.

The Bantams (3-7, 3-3) got homers from J.T. Rimmelspacher and Willie Olsen in the opener. Olsen's was a two-run shot in the fifth.

After Clarkston zoomed to a 8-3 lead in the second game, Isaac Woodbury and Don Perconti struggled in the sixth. Cheney put up seven runs on the pitchers.

Line went 4-for-7 on the day, with a solo homer in the fourth inning of the second game.

Ben Saunders reached base eight times and Derrick Farley drove in four runs to spark Moscow's two thumpings of Lakeland in an Inland Empire League doubleheader.

Saunders scored four times in the Bears' 12-2 rout in the opener. Zach Divilbiss and Marques Miller each had three RBI.

Moscow pounded out 13 hits in a 15-3 win in the second game. Five batters had two hits, including Farley, who drove in four.

The Bears (4-2, 3-1) have won four straight games.

SPOKANE -- A bases-loaded walk to Alec Scourey proved to be the difference in Pullman's 7-5 win in the second game of a Great Northern League doubleheader with West Valley.

The Eagles won the opener, 12-8, with the help of a pair of homers.

After WV tied the second game at 5-all in the third, Pullman (4-4, 3-3) came back with a run in the bottom of the inning thanks to Scourey's base on balls. The Greyhounds tacked on another run with Alex Kirk's RBI single.

Marty Guettinger allowed just one earned run in the second contest. Pullman's five errors led to four other runs. Guettinger finished with nine strikeouts and seven walks.

COLTON -- Jake Druffel's three-run homer in the first inning set the offensive tone for Colton in the second game of a Whitman County League doubleheader with St John-Endicott.

The Wildcats put up 12 hits in crafting a 10-6 victory. In the first game they were limited to three hits and lost 8-3.

Thomas Jacobs and Nick Heitstuman had two RBI apiece and combined for five hits in the nightcap, while Nick Jacobs threw a complete-game eight-hitter, striking out five and walking none.

The Wildcats were tormented by errors in the opener. Their four fielding miscues lead to six unearned runs for St. John-Endicott.

Colton goes to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in league.

COTTONWOOD -- Justin Polensky threw an efficient three-hit shutout as Grangeville drubbed Prairie.

Polensky struck out four and walked one in the game, stopped in the fifth inning on the 10-run rule. He threw just 56 pitches with the help of error-free defensive support.

Tanner Maynard drove in three runs for the Bulldogs (6-4) while D.J. Crosby had a two-run single in the first inning.
