LEWISTON HIGH FOOTBALL DOLLAR AUCTION - This fundraising event is scheduled for Aug. 29 at the Red Lion Hotel Seaport Ballroom, with the dinner/no-host social starting at 4:30 p.m. and the auction beginning at 6 p.m. All proceeds will go to purchase equipment for Lewiston High's varsity, JV and freshman football teams. Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased from organizers of the event or LHS players. snake river volleyball meeting - The Snake River volleyball club will play host to a board meeting Aug. 30 at 6 p.m. at the Community Action Partnership building in Lewiston at the 124 6th street. This meeting is open to the general public as well.

Hells Canyon Gruel Duathlon & Doc Sears 8k Run - The Lewis-Clark State cross country program and Nez Perce County Sheriff's Posse are sponsoring a long- and short-course duathlon on Oct. 24, starting at 10 a.m. There will also be a free 8K run. All events start and finish at Hells Gate State Park. The short course sandwiches two 4K runs around a 21K bicycle stretch and is open to individuals and two-person teams.
