POST FALLS -- Led by second-place finisher Bryson Carter, the Lewiston boys' golf team posted four scores of 75 or lower and breezed to a 15-shot victory in the Post Falls Invitational on Thursday.
Carter carded a 71, followed by Jordan Mackey and Matt Solem at 74 and Randy Buono at 75. The host team, Post Falls, shot a 309 to the Bengals' 294.
Carter beat Coeur d'Alene's Taylor Lowe on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff to decide second place. After both players scored pars on the first two holes, Carter drove the green on a 325-yard hole, and Lowe soon conceded.
Moscow, which took fifth, was led by medalist David Nuhn. He shot a 69 to finish two strokes ahead of Carter and Lowe.
Eighth-place Pullman was led by Chili Williams' 75.

Bengal girls take first
POST FALLS -- Lisa Cannon fired an 80 to lead Lewiston to the championship of the Post Falls Invitational.
The Bengals beat second-place Coeur d'Alene by 14 shots. Lewiston's Connie Boyer (87), Sara Broemeling (88) and Katie McNish (89) were all below 90.
According to Lewiston coach Greg McMillan, it was the first time Broemeling and McNish had shot in the 80s this season, and the third straight outing that Boyer accomplished the feat.
Moscow, which bagged fourth, got a team-best 87 from Kelli Tatham.
Led by Alicia Jelinek's 92, Clarkston took fifth.

OROFINO -- Led by Trevor Arnone's 37, Asotin claimed a 14-shot victory over Orofino in a nine-hole dual held at the Orofino Golf Course.
The Panthers also got a 42 from Wayne Clouse. The Maniacs' lowest score was a 46 turned in by J.Z. Savage.

MEDICAL LAKE -- A sweep of the singles competition led Pullman to a comfortable Great Northern League victory over Medical Lake.
This was a one-win improvement for the Greyhounds over their first meeting with Medical Lake this spring.
Pullman, which dropped only one set in singles competition, goes to 10-0 in duals.

Fairbanks, Druffel pace PHS
COLVILLE -- Lexie Fairbanks and Cory Druffel posted big breakthroughs as Pullman stretched its league winning streaks.
Fairbanks, getting a late start to track after finishing her gymnastics season, won the girls' triple jump with a mark of 36-3 1/4. Druffel, a freshman, won the girls' 3,200 in 11:48.7.
Both marks are area bests since 2002.
The Greyhounds, both girls and boys, easily beat Chewelah and Colville to extend their Great Northern League dual-meet winning streaks to 43.
Ashton Gant recorded a personal record of 22.9 seconds to win the boys' 200, while Chris Jamison took a leap in the 1,600, winning in 4:40.0.
