GENESEE — The Troy Trojans’ Alaura Hawley and Olivia Tyler made four combined free throws in the final minute to secure a 65-64 Whitepine League Division I girls basketball win against the Genesee Bulldogs on Thursday at Genesee High School. It was the second game decided by two or less points this season between the league foes.

Genesee (11-6, 6-5) opened the game with a 14-3 lead before Troy (9-6, 5-4) came back to lead 48-42 going into the final quarter.

The Bulldogs had a one-point lead in the final minute before Hawley’s two free throws put the Trojans up by one. Tyler added another pair of makes from the free-throw line to go up by three.

Genesee made one more basket to cut the lead down to two, but Troy inbounded the ball and ran out the clock.

Hawley paced the Trojans with 20 points to go with eight rebounds. Tessa Stoner and Tyler added 15 and 12 points, respectively.

Chloe Grieser led the Bulldogs with a game-high 34 points, including five 3-pointers. Monica Seubert added 14 points for Genesee.

NEZPERCE — The Nighthawks’ Erica Zenner and Mia Horton ended senior night with a victory over the Patriots of Cottonwood in Whitepine League Division II play.

Nezperce (5-8, 2-5) overcame a two-point halftime deficit and held St. John Bosco (6-4, 4-2) to two points in the third quarter to secure its 10-point win.

Kairys Grant led the Nighthawks with 18 points and Zenner had 16 points. Both were just shy of a double-double — Grant had nine rebounds and Zenner had eight. Zenner’s fellow senior Horton finished with six points on three made field goals.

Sarah Waters had a game-high 19 points for the Patriots.

MOSCOW — Potlatch’s Jaylee Fry and Bailyn Anderson combined for 30 points to lift the Loggers over the Knights of Moscow in Whitepine League Division I action.

Potlatch (6-9, 3-7) controlled the pace from the get-go. Logos (5-10, 2-6) trailed 30-11 going into halftime and the Loggers were able to keep the pace en route to the 17-point win.

Anderson led Potlatch with 18 points and Fry added 16.

The Knights were paced by Elena Spillman’s 10 points.

CRAIGMONT — Ruby Stewart’s near-triple-double lifted the Tigers to an emphatic victory over the Huskies of Craigmont in a Whitepine League Division II game.

Stewart led Kendrick (14-2, 4-0) with 22 points to go with 11 rebounds, nine steals and six assists. Hailey Taylor and Morgan Silflow added 16 and 13 points, respectively. Taylor had four assists and seven steals to go with her 16 points. The Tigers had 28 total steals for the game.

Highland (2-14, 0-6) was led with six points from Shyanne Stamper.

Lexi Schumacher added 16 points for the Pirates (11-6, 7-2). Kylie Schumacher notched 14 points.

Samara Powaukee scored a team-high 11 points for the Wildcats (10-5, 6-1).

NEZPERCE — Carter Williams’ seven 3-pointers elevated the Nighthawks to a victory over the Patriots of Cottonwood in Whitepine League Division II competition.

Nezperce (5-7, 2-4) controlled the pace early and led St. John Bosco (2-7, 1-5) 38-21 going into halftime.

The Patriots put up 24 points in the final quarter to cut their deficit down to single digits, but the Nighthawks’ big early lead proved a safe cushion.

Carter Williams led Nezperce with 21 points — all coming from 3-point range. Nic Kirkland added 14 points for the Nighthawks.

St. John Bosco was led with a game-high 27 points from Levi Wassmuth.

Tweit was 8-of-17 from beyond the 3-point line for the Tigers (10-4, 6-0). Hunter Taylor added 16 points and was 5-of-9 from beyond the arc.

Noah Watson and Ty Goeckner had a combined 43 points for the Huskies (8-5, 3-3).
