MOSCOW -- Residents in the area of Public Avenue and Orchard Avenue in Moscow were temporarily ordered to shelter in place Tuesday morning after Moscow Police received a report of gunshots.
Police determine the gunshots came from hunters legally shooting outside of city limits. There is no threat, police said in a Facebook post.
The report of gunshots was called in approximately 9 a.m. MPD, Latah County Sheriff’s Office, Washington State University Police and Pullman Police arrived on scene to assist.
The shelter in place order was lifted after 10 a.m.
