Missing the old days

Crazy Days on June 7-8 was a pathetic thing to look at.

As a long-timer, I remember the Crazy Days back in the day when there were real stores in downtown Lewiston.

Now going forward all these years, this community has lost all the big box stores. Where are the growth and thriving economy that were here in the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s?

The state representatives tell us business is booming as we look at Eddie Bauer leaving town, along with Shari’s.

Devalued citizenship

The Feb. 25 commentary by Marvin Duggar reminded us of the catastrophe of Sept. 11, 2001: how 19 foreign characters with “legal” passes into our country perpetrated the greatest attack on U.S. soil ever.

Imagine the odds of a repeat after Democrats have allowed in 10 million “illegal” migrants with no vetting whatsoever. We were told in 2020 the adults were taking over and better days were promised. How’s that working out?

Imagine the celebrations in North Korea, China, Iran and Afghanistan three years ago when they turned on Fox News and saw the first of 10,000,000 foreigners openly cross the southern border into the United States ... .

We are not only less safe thanks to the Democrats. They also have devalued American citizenship.

Joe Biden’s “America Last” policy is offering everything American citizens have to illegal migrants at no cost to the migrant. Another four years under the liberals and their 10 million folks and the 20 million or so who preceded them will be voting (legally) and true American democracy is gone.

Existing immigration laws state that entering the U.S. without proper documentation is a federal crime. Sleepy Joe’s folks finally decided to use his power under U.S. Code, Title 8 SS 1182(F) to control the border (2,500 illegal crossings daily is the Democrat idea of control, when it could be zero). This plan fixes what?

I beg some liberal to enlighten us. If Joe can stop migrants at 2,500 a day, he can stop it at one, right?
