Wilma Josephine Cox passed away Aug. 29, 2012, with her family at her side. She suffered several years with pulmonary fibrosis.

Wilma was born March 26, 1920, to Charles Newton and Anna A. Drube Norberg in Cottonwood. The family moved to Culdesac, where Wilma attended and graduated from Culdesac High School. She met and married Carl L. Cox on July 20, 1937. Wilma worked various jobs to help the family through the Depression days. She attended and graduated from nursing school in 1957, and worked in that profession for a number of years. She later studied and attained her realtor license and worked at that until her retirement. Wilma was very active in the Lewiston Eagles Lodge. She worked on all the committees, went through all the chairs in the Auxiliary and was Idaho state Madam President. She was also a member of the Moose and Elk lodges.

Wilma and Carl were both charter members of Grace Lutheran Church in Lewiston.

Wilma enjoyed being active and participated in fishing, hunting, bowling, snowmobiling, and camping with friends and family. She and Carl traveled the snowbird route for a number of years after they retired.

Wilma is survived by son Gary and Carol Cox of Lewiston; daughters Kathie and Gary Wright of Lewiston, and Bobbie Hodge of Clarkston; and sister Ellen Woodruff of Lewiston. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Brad and Joyce Cox of Rathdrum, Idaho, Rhonda and D.J. Hall of Athol, Idaho, Todd Graham of Lewiston, and Jerrad and Jenny Graham of Colton; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind three brothers-in-law, Gene Cox of Kamiah, Edd and Donna Cox of Winchester, and Fred and June Cox of Walla Walla; one sister-in-law, Betty Snyder of Spokane; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; her mother and father; two sisters, Lillie Anne Lustig and Vivian Dumbauld; and two brothers, Charley Norberg and William Norberg.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Gardens in Lewiston. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Grace Lutheran Church or to a charity of choice.
