It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of our beloved mother, Sandra Lee (Hubbart) Rawson, who, surrounded by her loving family, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the age of 86. Mom was born in Stockton, Calif., on Feb. 6, 1938, to Franklin Clifford Hubbart and Ruby Edna (Reedy) King.
Mom was the eighth of 10 children, which consisted of nine girls and one boy. She was predeceased by both of her parents and her sisters Nita, Aloha, Joy, Sunny, Jackie, Ginger, Pam, and a granddaughter, Lashelle.
She leaves behind her brother Clifford, sister Dean and a special niece, Terria, who she always thought of as another sister; and her children: Bruce, Keith (Cheryl), Nick (Liz), Stacy, Jamie and Timi (Jason), 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mom cherished her relationships with her grand- and great-grandchildren.
Mom was unselfish to a fault, often neglecting the needs of herself for the needs and well-being of her family. She embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit and unending generosity.
As a family we would like to give a special thanks to Trina Wilkins. Trina was mom’s neighbor for 28 years, and mom developed a special bond with her. Trina was helping to care for mom all the way to her passing and I know that Mom was aware she was there, which added to her final peace.
Also, a special thank-you to mom’s medical providers, and the wonderful Elite Hospice staff and nurses.
Mom will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten. First my mom, forever my friend.
Per Mom’s request, there will be no services.
