Samuel Carl Springer, known to his loved ones as Sam, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024, at the age of 68. He was born on Sept. 15, 1955, in Grangeville, to Charles Carl Springer and Susie Ada Jacks.
Sam cherished his hometown roots and lived most recently in Fenn, where he enjoyed the simplicity and beauty of rural living. He had a passion for building model cars, which he meticulously crafted with care and precision. In his downtime, Sam would challenge his mind with a game of chess, often engaging in friendly matches with family and friends.
As an avid outdoorsman, Sam loved being immersed in nature. Hunting and fishing were among his favorite pastimes, providing him with a sense of peace and connection to the natural world. He also found joy in watching the Super Bowl, a cherished tradition he shared with his loved ones.
Sam will be remembered for his loving nature and his devotion to his family. He was a beloved brother to Irma, Tim, Steve, Andy, Sharon and Barbara. His children, Brandi, Caleb and Angela, were the pride and joy of his life. Sam’s warm smile and genuine presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
