Robert Franklin Wilson, 68, was born in Sioux City, Iowa, Dec. 9, 1946, to Dr. Fredric W. and C. Jeanette Wilson. He passed away at the Prestige Care Center in Clarkston, Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015. He graduated from Central High School, Sioux City, in 1966. While in high school, he was involved in DeMolay, Methodist church activities and was an Eagle Scout and a recipient of the God and Country award. He enjoyed many summers and weekends working on the family ranch in Stuart, Neb. He attended the University of Minnesota, Morningside College and Western Iowa Tech before taking a career in computer chip electronics. He worked briefly for the Milwaukee Railroad in Sioux City and was involved in various electronic businesses around the Sioux City area, plus continuing on with community service.
In 2007, he left Sioux City and moved to Clarkston to be closer to family.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his sisters, Dianne Wilson, Salt Lake City; Linda (Pete) Torgerson, Clarkston; Carol Savage, Kalispell, Mont.; nephews Christopher Torgerson, Clarkston and Sean Savage, Kalispell, Mont.; niece Patricia (Ben) Brinegar, Clarkston; and several great-nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be noon Monday at Merchant Funeral Home, Clarkston. The family invites all those who have provided care over the years.
