Phillip Wayne Sharp, 75, passed away peacefully at his Clarkston home Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born May 3, 1949, in Chicago, to Charles and Bernice Sharp.

He married Kathleen Jankus in August of 1968 and they had three children: Ginger born in 1969, Philip born in 1978 and Jennifer born in 1979. Phillip and Kathy divorced in July 2001. Phillip then married Beverly Fuchs, the light of his life, May 1, 2004.

Phillip started work as a cable splicer for Illinois Bell in 1968. The family then moved to Montesano, Wash., in the early 1970s, and to Lewiston in the late ’70s. Phillip worked for Pacific Northwest Bell in Lewiston until his retirement in January 2010.

Our dad had a great love for the outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting, camping and spending time with family.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Beverly Fuchs-Sharp, Clarkston; daughter Ginger (Marty) Cornett, Lewiston; son Philip (Athena) Sharp, Potlatch; daughter Jennifer (Rich) Casey, Lewiston; brother Dave (Charlene) Sharp, Seattle; four grandsons: Levi (Kayla) Pettingill, Lewiston; Luke Pettingill, Lewiston; Kempton Sharp, Liberty Lake, Wash.; Brayden Sharp, Potlatch, and one great-grandson Dax Pettingill, Lewiston.

His father and mother, Charles and Bernice Sharp, and brother Charles Sharp preceded him in death.

A celebration of life for Phillip will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Hells Canyon Grand Hotel, 621 21st St., Lewiston.
