Patricia Ruth (Lynn) Bradley, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 14, 2024. She was born to Walter and Nota Lynn in Seaside, Ore., on July 13, 1928. She joined two sisters and a brother at home in Cannon Beach, Ore. Before she was 2 years old the family moved to Forks, Wash., where her dad built a light plant as he had in Cannon Beach. When Pat was 7 they moved to Lopez Island, Wash., — one of the San Juan’s and again built a light plant to supply electricity to the Island.
Following Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941, the family moved to Bremerton, Wash., where Pat clearly remembers trusting Christ as her Savior. Later a final move was made to Mount Vernon, Wash., where Pat graduated from high school in 1946.
She attended Seattle Pacific College for two years where she met the love of her life. Returning veteran Sid Bradley caught her eye and they were married Nov. 11, 1948. The next six years were spent in Seattle where she and Sid worked for the post office and two little girls joined the family.
On Christmas Eve 1954, the family drove across the state to their new home in Clarkston. Three more children were born there and the next many years were spent raising children, building a couple houses and two apartment buildings and serving in various positions at First Baptist Church in Clarkston.
Pat taught Sunday school and played the piano for many years.
After Sid retired they did some traveling in their RV and particularly enjoyed trips to Alaska, Canada and the Oregon Coast. Pat’s hobbies included sewing (she made a quilt for each grandchild) and reading. Pat’s death is not the end of the book, but only the end of the chapter.
She was preceded in death by her son, Don Bradley, in 2014, and her siblings. Survivors include her husband, Merlin “Sid,” of Clarkston; children: Nancy Goree, of Salem, Ore., Sandy (John) Weese, of Rathdrum, Idaho, Don’s wife, Lori Bradley, of Spokane, Jim (Gina) Bradley, of Clarkston and Peggy (Tom) Wallace of La Grande, Ore.; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
