Matthew didn't enjoy city life. His passion was the mountains, whether he was in Cottonwood or Roseburg. He enjoyed four-wheeling, fishing, hunting, camping, mushroom hunting or just taking a drive on a country road.
Matthew graduated from Lewiston Alternative School. He was employed as a millwright at Performance Fab, LLC in Roseburg. He always wanted to be a welder and a millwright and fortunately got that chance in Oregon. He was very proud of his welding jobs and his certifications and shared these with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arne "Butch" Matalamaki, and his grandparents. Matthew will be greatly missed by everyone.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced for a later date.
