Mary Louise Smith, 90, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013, of natural causes at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.

Mary was born Dec. 11, 1922, in Missoula, Mont., to Louis and Thyra LeBert. She completed high school in Coeur d'Alene. She married John W. Smith at New Lisbon, Wis., on June 5, 1943.

She and John lived in Clarkston their entire married life. She worked for Tri-State Memorial Hospital in Clarkston as a cook in the kitchen for many years.

Mary was very active in the First Church of God in Clarkston for most of her life.

She is survived by her sons, Jeff Smith and wife Ann of Wenatchee, Wash., and Mark Smith and wife Linda of Kila, Mont.; daughters Gwen Smith of Portland, Ore., Joan King and husband Chuck of Pullman, and Carolyn Adkisson and husband Jack of Gillette, Wyo.; grandsons Chad Smith and wife Sarah of Wenatchee, Craig King and wife Brie of Warren, Pa., and Jeff King of Bellingham, Wash.; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain View Funeral Home, 3521 Seventh St., Lewiston. A celebration of her life will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain View Funeral Home, with the Rev. Melvin Williams presiding.
