Lori Ann Martin Runyon

Lori Ann Martin was born to Gene and Pauline (Wooley) Martin on Sept. 8, 1960, in Lewiston. Lori peacefully passed away, surrounded by family Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene from complications of pneumonia.

Lori grew up in north central Idaho, spending most of her life in Potlatch. She graduated from Potlatch High School in 1979 and from Lewis-Clark State College in 1998.

Lori’s professional life included positions in home health care, as a nanny for her brothers’ four children, bookkeeping for Stubbs Seed Company and Crites Seed Company. Lori enjoyed her co-workers and local farmers while employed at Crites and Stubbs.

Lori enjoyed crafts and would always have a craft project available at family functions. Lori loved to laugh. She loved board games, especially ones that the kids would enjoy. She always provided the newest and funniest games for family gatherings. We would play and laugh for hours. We are fortunate to have many fun memories and videos.

Lori met Kenny Runyon in 1990, they married on Nov. 12, 1998. She enthusiastically embraced becoming a stepmom to Kenny’s two sons Randall and Lukas. She was happy to welcome two daughters-in-law to the family. Lori was ecstatic to become a grandma to her four beautiful grandchildren. They were the light of her life. Lori also had a special relationship with her brother’s children Lenae, Leremy, Lacie and Lucas.

Lori was preceded in death by her husband Kenny and her parents.
