Karen Jayne Glover, 62, of Lewiston, passed away Feb. 12, 2019, after a 20-year fight against cancer. Karen was born Dec. 14, 1956, in Farmington, N.M., to Jack and Rosemary Kimball. She moved to Grangeville and graduated from Grangeville High School in 1975. Karen attended Lewis-Clark State College. She also lived in White Bird and Anchorage, Alaska, before making her home in Lewiston, where she has lived for the last 30 years.

Karen married Mickey Wilson in 1976; they divorced in 1979. She married Jerry Glover in 1980 and was with him until her death.

She attended First Christian Church in Grangeville, where she participated in prayer groups for cancer patients and their families. Karen worked in medical billing. She was a contributor at the Willow Center for Grieving Children and worked with the Pink Sista’s for Breast Cancer Survivors.

Karen loved riding ATVs with her family and friends and taking pictures of her adventures in the woods of Idaho County. She also loved spending time on the coast with her husband.

Karen was preceded in death by her daughter, Rachael Ann Wilson; and her mother, Rosemary Kimball. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Glover, of Lewiston; sons Jesse Glover of California and Anthony Glover of Lewiston; father Jack Kimball of Pendleton, Ore.; sister Jackie (John) Bartron of Pendleton; brother Mark (Lisa) Kimball of Lake Oswego, Ore.; and grandsons Jacob, Levi and Caleb Glover of Post Falls, Idaho.

A celebration of life will be held in Pendleton in late March. The Karen Festival and pig roast will be held on July 6 in Grangeville. Memorial donations can be made to either willow-center.org or pinksistas.org.
