Judy Whitesel of Springfield, Va., daughter of William and Violet Olson, was called to our Lord on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Va., after a long battle with polycystic kidney disease. She was 72.
She is survived by her son, Lance; and her daughter, Mindy Totten. She is also survived by three grandsons, all living in the Springfield area. Judy worked as an accountant until her retirement in 1998. Her passion was plants, especially cacti, with a thriving greenhouse in her backyard. She also loved cross-stitch, knitting and crochet, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A service was held Thursday at the Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, Va.
Honoring her final wishes, she will be buried in the Moscow Cemetery, next to her mother and father. The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday.
