Judy M. Dubert, 57, Lewiston

Judy Marie Dubert, loving mother and grandmother, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, of causes related to cancer. She was 57.

Judy was born Dec. 22, 1953, to Betty Jo Williams and Richard Little Jr. in Richmond, Va.

She later moved to Dyer, Tenn., where she lived until 1969. She made her way to Gadsden, Ala., until 1972. She then went out to sunny San Diego, where she made her home. She married James Jeffery Dubert in El Cajon, Calif. They remained married until Jim's death in September 1996. She worked jobs here and there, from working in a bakery and bartending at one time to an apprentice painter with her husband Jim until his death. She finally moved to Lewiston in 1998 and made this beautiful town her final residence.

She loved making crystal jewelry and singing karaoke with her friends. She was a past member of the Eagle's Ladies Auxiliary.

Judy is survived by her sisters, Sharon Casteel of Dyer, Tenn., and Virginia Dudley of Richmond, Va.; son Billy Bryant of Lewiston; daughters Trina Slocum of Lewiston and Sandy Flores of Spring Valley, Calif.; son-in-law Paul Flores of Spring Valley, Calif.; granddaughters Loney Flores of Spring Valley, Calif., Jasmine and Jayla Flores of Spring Valley, and Blake Slocum and Lacey Slocum, both of Lewiston; grandsons Joey and Jesse Flores of Spring Valley, and Samuel Bryant of Las Vegas; and great-grandson Leonidas Flores of Spring Valley, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jo Williams; father Steve Little; and stepmother Mary Beth Little.

A remembrance covered-dish dinner and karaoke will be conducted at 7 p.m. today at Canter's Inn, 416 Thain Road, Lewiston. Any donations to help the family may be made to Sandy Little, 9247 Kenwood Drive, Spring Valley, CA 91977
