Joshua Wimer
Joshua Wimer

Joshua Shawn Wimer was given to us by God on July 22, 1994, and was taken from us by God on Oct. 18, 2014. Joshua died from complication because of his diabetes. That's what the doctors say, but we believe that he died from too big of a heart. Joshua lived 20 years of his life being kind to others. He was always giving and helping others constantly, with the biggest smile you can imagine. His life's goal was to do good deeds always.

Joshua was home schooled. He started working outside of the home at the young age of 14. Some of his places of work were Advanced Welding, Hoene Hardware, Nuxoll Shell and at the time of his departure from Earth he was working for Wimer Corp. with his dad.

Joshua loved doing metal work, building bumpers or anything out of metal; the bigger the better. He also had an amazing self-taught ability at electrical work and electronics, and could hop onto almost any piece of equipment and operate it like he had been on it his whole life. His pickup was a great testimony to his handiwork. Josh was only 5 feet 6 inches to his towering brothers of 6 feet-plus and had a small shoe size of 10 compared to the 13 shoe size of his brothers, but somehow we are all falling just a little short of filling the enormousness of his giving, kind spirit. I'm sure most of you reading this have encountered Josh somewhere along the way of his life, as he would talk to anyone and everyone. He loved people, all people. We were so blessed to be called his family, Marv, Molly, Jacob, Chaelena and Justin Stubbers, Joel, William and Logan Wimer.

A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church in Cottonwood, with a burial to follow at Keuterville Cemetery and dinner to follow. Uhlorn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
