Joseph Scott Lynch died Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane of pancreatic cancer.
He was born to Darrel and Elizabeth Lynch on April 6, 1958, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lewiston. Scott graduated from Clarkston High School in 1976. In his youth, he excelled at football, basketball and baseball. He attended Spokane Falls Community College, then started working at Potlatch Corp. in the spring of 1977.
His daughter, Charly Lynch, was born July 10, 1989. Scott enjoyed helping Charly pursue her love of horses by attending rodeos to watch her participate in barrel racing, calf roping and poles. She was his pride and joy.
Scott lived in this area his entire life. He loved to hunt, fish, play poker and golf. He often said he didn't have to leave this area because it offered everything he loved to do.
He met the love of his life, Deborah Batterton, and they married Dec. 19, 2008. They lived and laughed with family and friends, as they experienced all life had to offer together.
Scott is survived by his wife, Deborah Lynch; daughter Charly Lynch; his parents; brothers Mark Lynch and Timothy (Svetlana) Lynch; sister Darby Lynch Justis (Eric); plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Scott was a great son, father, brother, uncle, husband and friend. He will be greatly missed.
Per Scott's request, there will be no funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, Scott asked that donations be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Clarkston or the Pancreatic Cancer Organization (pancan.org).
