Jesse Leroy Spears, 53, born March 16, 1970, in Ontario, Ore., went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023, in Coeur d’Alene.
He is preceded in death by his son Josh Spears and dad Elwood Hopkins. He is survived by his wife Jennifer; children, Christine, Cynthia (Jake), Jeremy (Ashley), Jeffrey, Jordan, Joseph, Cassandra; grandchildren Rowan, Taite, Tobias, Calliope; his mother Mary Hopkins; sister Carolyn Long (Ron); brothers Donny Spears, Timothy Hopkins (Jessica), Carl Hopkins and Ken Jensen; along with extended family and many friends.
Jesse was a very light-hearted soul his humor topped most. He had a soft spot for his family both those by blood and those he had met along the way. With his contagious laugh and smile he is loved by everyone that knew him.
Jesse will be being honored in a celebration of life starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at 23781 Park View Lane, Lapwai. We will be having a potluck style event encouraging all loved ones and friends to attend, all who knew him are welcome. May the memories and stories shared bring comfort and strength in the days ahead.
