Irene B. Schacher, 62, Culdesac

Irene B. Schacher, of Culdesac, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston from complications due to surgery. She was born June 14, 1948, to Edwin and Purnelby Brady Williamson in Lake Williams, N.D.

She attended grade school in Lake Williams and graduated from Prairie High School in Cottonwood.

She married Lawrence Bruegeman June 18, 1966, in Cottonwood. They later divorced. She married Dick Schacher Sept. 19, 1981, in Cottonwood. He died June 27, 2001.

Irene worked a variety of jobs in Culdesac, Lewiston, Clarkston and Jacques Spur. She also worked in-home health care in various places.

She is survived by her son, Donald Bruegeman of Cottonwood; stepson Steve Schacher of Post Falls, Idaho; stepdaughters Brenda Schacher and Tina Schacher, both of Wenatchee; brother and sister-in-law Harold and Cecilia Schacher of Cottonwood; sisters-in-law Kathy Gibbs and Terry Thompson, both of Lewiston; sisters Lenore and Dick Forsman of Cottonwood, Judy and Louie Schlossnagle of Bowdon, N.D., Beverly Acree of Bend, Ore., and Donna and Gary Martonen of Salmon, Idaho; brother Johnny Williamson of Rhame, N.D.; and sister Sheila and Larry Larson of Bowdon. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; brother Lewis Williamson; nephew Kit Forsman; husband Dick Schacher; and brothers-in-law Don Schacher and Bud Schacher.
