Glenn G. Wade
Glenn G. Wade

On June 27, 2013, Glenn Gary Wade lost his life. Glenn began his life April 16, 1947, in Great Falls, Mont., to Hoyt G. and Erna Marie Helen Wade. He joined a half-brother, Robert Benzie, currently of Billings, Mont.

During Glenn's 12th year, the family moved to a home on the Missouri River near Wolf Creek, Mont. He attended school in Cascade, graduating from high school in 1967. He continued his education at the University of Montana, graduating with a bachelor of arts in social welfare. In his adult life Glenn worked as an electrician, a security guard manager, a convenience store assistant manager and a house parent for the state of Montana's girls school. He retired after 10 years and finally delivered newspapers for USA Today and the Lewiston Tribune/Daily News when he was taken ill.

Glenn had three wives. His final marriage of 28 years was to Annette M. Cook. Since Glenn had no children of his own, he treated and loved his wife's family as his own. That family includes a daughter, Anita Fenner (Don) of Viola; three grandchildren, Frank Kimberling (Faron) of Spokane, Anna Hendrix (Rob) of Harvard and Joseph Fenner of Viola; and four great-grandchildren, Madisen Hendrix, Mackenzie Hendrix, Phranq Kimberling and Avery Ann Kilborn; and two step great-grandchildren, Jaycee Hendrix and Cody Hendrix. Glenn was looking forward to spending time with the great-grandchildren when he was taken ill.

Glenn was an avid reader, especially science fiction books. He and his wife enjoyed attending the Moscow, Idaho, Science Fiction Convention regularly until its end. In the last few years, Glenn helped his wife play pinochle at the Princeton Community Center, sometimes playing when needed. He discussed his playing with his wife on the way home, expressing his enjoyment.

Glenn was also a Mason and a Shriner and a member of the Moose Lodge. Because of Glenn's wide range of friends, a wake will be announced and held toward fall when all can attend.

Goodbye, my beloved husband, may you rest in peace. Cremation per Glenn's wishes has taken place. Kramer Funeral Home of Palouse handled the arrangements.
