Eldy Glenn Clark, of Southwick, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012, due to acute leukemia.

Eldy was born to Lawrence D. Clark and Martha Murdock Clark Dec. 22, 1926, in Pocatello.

It was clear from an early age Eldy was adventuresome, inquisitive and creative. These qualities led to his discovery of a love for electronics, which would be his life's work as well as his hobby. He began by working in a radio shop when he was 15 years old and started his own radio shop business when he was 16. His business in Lewiston began with Clark TV and Electronics, which later became Clark Communications. He and Dolores retired from the family business in 2007.

Eldy met Delores Sedlack, the love of his life, while working at that first radio shop in Marysville, Kan., and they were married Dec. 4, 1944. They subsequently moved to Spokane, where their first two children were born, and then to Lewiston, where their other five children were born and the family was raised.

Eldy was an active, lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He became Bishop of the Lewiston 1st Ward Dec. 11, 1958, and served in this position until Feb. 11, 1964.
