E. Vivian Lambert-Stewart was born July 20, 1921, in Teakean, Idaho, to Fred H. Daniels and Anna M. Brown Daniels Bloom. She was the third of five children. She passed peacefully on to the next dimension at age 92 in Clarkston, on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, of natural causes while sleeping.

Vivian, known affectionately as Vi to her closest friends and family, was raised on a small farm in Teakean. She and her siblings were part of a second generation, on both sides, to be born in the same homesteaded region of Idaho. She attended North Teakean Elementary School and graduated from Orofino High School. She married Charles W. Lambert on Nov. 24, 1941, and together they had two children, Charlotte L. and Charles R. (Chuck). They raised their children in Spokane, Seattle and Orofino and moved to Lewiston in 1965. She married Don Stewart and moved to Clarkston in 1991. She spent the last 16 years in Clarkston with her soulmate and sweetheart Roy Elliott Sr.

Vivian worked as the first female deputy sheriff in Clearwater County from 1956 to 1965, during which time she spent one year as acting sheriff. After moving to Lewiston, she spent a year with the Lewiston Police Department as a police dispatcher before joining the Nez Perce County Auto License Department in 1966, retiring from there in 1985.

Vivian was a loving and thoughtful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, wife, companion and friend, respected and loved by all who knew her. She was a very active, lifelong member of the Lewiston Eagles Auxiliary, as well as a member of the Women of the Moose. Her favorite way to spend time was with family and friends, involving them in activities that included playing pinochle, canning jams and veggies, going to dinner, attending the Lewiston Round Up and Orofino Lumberjack Days, movie-going, watching a Mariners game, listening to Lawrence Welk, eating popcorn and/or candy, and definitely her favorite, dancing.
