Delores Rae Bennett

Delores Rae Bennett was a beloved grandmother, mom and wife during her incredible 89 years of life. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

Delores’ life began April 6, 1935, to parents Anita (Miller) and Wilber T. Hall in Lewiston. She attended Lewiston High School where she was a cheerleader. She spent most of her young life moving from place to place while her father served in the U.S. Army, spending time in Arizona, Maryland and Pennsylvania. While in Arizona, she discovered her love for horses and explored the desert on horseback.

Delores met the love of her life, Frank Bennett, and they were married shortly thereafter on Jan. 26, 1953. The two of them moved to Moscow and raised six beautiful children together. She was passionate about being an active member in her community, serving as the treasurer of the Gritman Auxiliary and part of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church mission, often transporting donations to the Union Gospel Mission in Spokane.

Delores was a passionate reader of novels and magazines and always up to date on the latest fashion. She had the deepest love for animals and would often find herself taking in strays in need of extra care. Frank and Delores shared a love of travel, sharing many adventures together and with their children.
