Clinton Virgil Smith

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Clinton Virgil Smith, 49, of Lewiston. Clint passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023, in Spokane.

Clint was born April 26, 1974, to Valerie Harris-Guenther and Robert Steven Smith in Lewiston. Clint lived in Humboldt County, CA, for the past 30 years and in March of this year, moved home to Lewiston to be closer to his family. Clint attended school in Lewiston, and in 2008, he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Humboldt State University. He held many jobs throughout his life, from restaurant cook, to general laborer and most recently doing sheetrock work.

Clint had a passion for music, both in playing it and writing it. He was an avid drummer, and he spent countless hours perfecting his skill. He played in various bands throughout the years and enjoyed music production. When Clint was not playing his drums, you could find him creating some sort of art in the form of painting, drawing, wood working or creative writing. He loved to travel and see new places. On any of these trips, you could count on him having his camera to document his travels. Clint loved cooking, and if you knew Clint, then you knew his chicken alfredo was hands down the “Best.” He enjoyed a good, friendly debate, and never knew a stranger. Clint was always focused on creating a connection with anyone he encountered.
