Brian Lee Brunson Jr., was born on Oct. 6, 1993, in Lancaster, Calif., to Brian Lee Brunson Sr., and Wanda Loraine (Weston) Kierstead. He passed away suddenly Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, at the age of 31.
Brian met Kendall (Whitfield) Brunson in 2019, and together they had a beautiful daughter, Grace. The couple married in 2020 and built a life full of love and family in Lewiston. Brian dearly loved his sons, Gunner and Parker, from previous relationships. He was a devoted father to all his children and considered Kendall’s children, Carson, Tyler and Alivia, as his own. He was an incredible husband to Kendall — supportive, selfless and always ready to do whatever was needed for his family.
Brian had recently begun working with Pacific Northwest Farmers Cooperative and was settling into his role. In his downtime, he enjoyed playing video games and spending time outdoors with his family. A natural tinkerer, Brian loved working on all things tech-related, from repairing computers and tablets to fixing phones. He had a passion for automotive tinkering, target practice and fishing.
A generous and kind-hearted soul, Brian loved spending time with friends and family, especially during game nights and “Sunday Fundays.” His best friend of over 15 years, Andrew Black, was like a brother to him and played a pivotal role in Brian’s move to Lewiston.
Brian was known for his sense of humor, often quoting his favorite shows like “Parks and Recreation,” “The Office,” “Rick and Morty,” “Family Guy” and “South Park.” His contagious laugh and positive outlook on life endeared him to everyone he met, and he never knew a stranger.
At the time of his passing, Brian was pursuing a degree online at Full Sail University, studying coding and graphics to achieve his dream of becoming a video game developer.
Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Kierstead; grandmother, Audrey Weston; grandfather, Paul Weston; and grandfather, David Brunson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kendall Brunson; his children, Parker, Gunner and Grace; his stepchildren, Carson, Tyler and Alivia; his father, Brian Brunson Sr. (Erika); his grandmother, Sue Cardenas; his siblings, Katelyn Hauber (Danual), Jared Kierstead, Hope Kierstead, Tyler Cohen, Brianna Brunson and Kaylee Brunson; his stepsiblings, Shyanne Purcell, Deondre Purcell and Kameron Purcell; and countless friends and extended family.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Lewiston Elks Lodge #896, 3444 Country Club Drive, Lewiston.
Brian will be remembered for his boundless generosity, love of life and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. His spirit and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
