Audrey Bird was born in Portland, Ore., to Louis and Mary Morris. The family relocated to the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley. Audrey graduated from Asotin High School in 1956 and was a journeyman meat cutter for Safeway.
She married Bernard Charpentier on Aug. 25, 1957, and the couple had two children, Les and Rob. Les passed away in 2014. Audrey earned her associate degree from Lewiston State Normal School. She was a member and past president of the local Eagles Auxiliary and was a member of Nu Beta Phi Sigma in 1966.
Audrey is survived by her son, Rob; and four grandchildren, Shane Daniels and Sean, Derrick and Daisy Charpentier. She is also survived by Bernard's children, Boyd and Darrell Wilks.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home. Interment will he held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the south section of the Normal Hill Cemetery.
