Andrea Lynn Olson, 45, passed away after fighting lung cancer Dec. 13, 2012, at her home in Clarkston.
She was born to Keith and Nancy Riggers (Upham) July 29, 1967, in Clarkston. Andrea spent her youth in the Peck area until moving to Troy, where she graduated from high school in 1985. She moved to the Lewis-Clark Valley in 1987, where she spent the rest of her life, and started working at the Pizza Mill, where she met her husband. She married Keith A. Olson Aug. 25, 1989, in Lewiston.
In 1992, she went to work for the state of Idaho Health and Welfare Department, where she worked until 2012, when her health would not allow her to work anymore.
Andrea was a very special person to all who knew her. The one thing she loved doing the most was being out in the woods camping with friends and family and riding her four-wheeler wherever it would take her, especially up in the Elk River area. She was also a very caring and kind person. She would do anything she could for her family, friends or co-workers to help them out before ever thinking of herself. Andrea was one-of-a-kind, and will always be loved and remembered by those people whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband, Keith, of Clarkston; father Keith Riggers of Asotin; mother Nancy Riggers of Post Falls; sons Kurt L. Olson of Spokane and Matt J. Olson of Clarkston; brother John Riggers of Coeur d'Alene; and sisters Traci Moitoza of St. Louis, Kristin Liberty of Post Falls and Allisha Parot of Asotin. Preceding her in death was her grandmother, Willa Blinzler.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lewiston. A celebration of life will follow at the VFW hall in the Lewiston Orchards. Please make any memorial donations to the Northwest Children's Home. Mountain View Funeral Home of Lewiston is handling arrangements.
