CLARK FORK, Idaho Alvin L. Krueger, a former Lapwai resident, died of cancer Thursday morning at his home at Clark Fork, Idaho. He was 77.

He lived in the Lapwai area from 1990 until he moved to Clark Fork several months ago.

The son of Charles and Hattie Weller Krueger, he was born June 2, 1915, at Garden Creek, Idaho, near Pocatello.

He farmed in that area until 1979 and then moved to Post Falls, Idaho, where he worked in a silver mine.

His marriage to Lena Judkins ended in divorce.

Survivors include two sons, Martin Krueger of Springfield, Idaho, and Bruce Krueger of Farmington, N.M.; a sister, Marie Hayden of Elk Mound, Wis.; and a brother, Ed Krueger of Lapwai.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens at Lewiston.
