FREDRICKSON, Wash. - A trapped worker has been rescued from a rail car full of sand in Fredrickson in Pierce County.

The Tacoma News Tribune reported the man was buried up to his chest in the rail car.

Firefighters responded around 4:30 p.m. and used suction trucks to remove about 80 tons of sand from the car.

Officials said it was not immediately known what company the man works for or how he became trapped.
