The Nez Perce Tribe on Friday issued an air quality advisory for its reservation in north central Idaho.
Smoke from local and regional wildfires is being trapped by a high-pressure weather pattern and has caused air quality to bounce between “Unhealthy” and “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” across much of the reservation.
The advisory will remain in place until 10 a.m. Monday and burn permits by the tribe and Environmental Protection Agency will not be approved during the advisory.
