Two COVID-19 deaths reported in Nez Perce, Asotin counties

Two deaths from COVID-19 were reported this past week by health officials in Nez Perce and Asotin counties.

A woman in her 80s died of the illness in Nez Perce County and a woman between the ages of 70 and 85 died in Asotin County.

The COVID-19 death toll in north central Idaho and southeastern Washington to 528 since the virus emerged in the region.

There were 89 new cases in the region over the last seven days. Those are strictly infections confirmed in a clinic or hospital setting; cases found with at-home tests aren’t included in the official numbers.
