ASOTIN - Richard Lynn Thueson, 60, of Clarkston, is scheduled to change his plea on child rape charges at 10 a.m. Friday in Asotin County Superior Court.

Earlier this year, Thueson pleaded innocent to three counts of indecent liberties, one count of first-degree child rape and five counts of second-degree child rape. He is in the Asotin County Jail on a $1 million bond.

During a telephonic status review Wednesday, attorneys said an agreement has been reached in the case and they will no longer need to go to trial. Thueson will change his plea, and a date for sentencing will be set by Judge Scott Marinella of Columbia County.

Thueson is accused of raping an 11-year-old developmentally disabled girl six times in 2010. He also allegedly inappropriately touched a 28-year-old developmentally disabled woman in 2008. Both were participants in a therapeutic horsemanship program he ran out of his home on Florence Lane in the Clarkston Heights.
