Traffic Accidents
The 16-year-old driver of a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado was hospitalized with non-incapacitating injuries after the truck he was driving reportedly struck a power pole early Sunday morning in Lewiston. Keola O. Santos of Lewiston was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center after the accident at 1:22 a.m. on the corner of Burrell Avenue and 19th Street. Two passengers in the truck were not taken to the hospital, according to a police report. Santos was ticketed for speeding, according to the report.
A 20-year-old Pullman man was flown to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane after reportedly falling out of a pickup at Sixth and Oak streets in Clarkston at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. According to police, the man, whose name has not been released, was a passenger in a pickup that didn't stop after he fell out. He was taken to Tri-State Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to Spokane, where he is in intensive care with head injuries, police said. Clarkston police are trying to locate the driver of the vehicle.
Crime Reports
A cash register reported stolen from a Lewiston business was found in a car wash stall on the 500 block of Fifth Street in Clarkston.
A vehicle involved in a pursuit with the Asotin police was found in a field near Cloverland.
Approximately $400 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 2300 block of Appleside Boulevard in Clarkston.
Tools valued at $1,358 were reported stolen from a trailer at a building site on the 2400 block of Linda Lane in Clarkston.
Nine teenagers were arrested at an underage drinking party on Snake River Road, south of Asotin, over the weekend.
